Terms of Service
Last updated 8 September 2026
Working draft. These terms describe how Hubber operates today and will be
revised as the platform grows. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Questions:
info@hubber.com.ng.
1. Who we are
Hubber is a Nigerian business-to-business marketplace. Verified suppliers list wholesale
stock; resellers sell that stock on to their own customers at their own price. Hubber
operates the platform, holds payment in escrow, and arranges delivery through third-party
couriers. Hubber does not own, manufacture, or inspect the goods listed by suppliers.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- Suppliers must pass identity and business verification (KYC) before listing.
-
You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately at
info@hubber.com.ng if you believe it has been used
without your permission.
-
We may suspend or deactivate an account that breaches these terms, is being used
fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Deactivation ends access immediately and
does not remove obligations already incurred.
3. Orders, pricing and payment
-
Suppliers set their wholesale price. Resellers set their own selling price and keep the
difference; that margin is a matter between the reseller and their buyer.
-
Hubber charges a service fee per order of 5%, with a minimum of ₦500 and a maximum of
₦5,000. Delivery is quoted separately at checkout and shown before payment.
-
Payments are processed by third-party providers. Hubber does not store card details.
- An order is only accepted once payment is confirmed by the provider.
4. Escrow and release of funds
Money paid for an order is held in escrow. Earnings are released only when both the
courier reports the parcel delivered and the reseller confirms receipt. Neither
confirmation alone releases funds. There is no automatic release on a timer: if an order
stalls, raise it with us and it will be resolved by a person.
Released earnings become available for payout to a verified Nigerian bank account, subject
to a minimum payout of ₦5,000.
5. Cancellations, returns and disputes
-
An order may be cancelled before it ships. Items cancelled before payment is confirmed are
refunded to the buyer.
-
Suppliers may cancel individual items they cannot fulfil; those items are refunded and
earn nothing.
-
Disputes about delivery, condition, or quantity should be raised through the complaints
flow in the app or portal. We review courier tracking and order records and decide in good
faith.
- Where a parcel fails or is returned, funds still in escrow are not released.
6. Your obligations
-
Suppliers must describe goods accurately and must not list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or
otherwise unlawful items.
- Resellers must not misrepresent goods to their own customers.
- Nobody may use the platform to launder money, evade tax, or defraud another user.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
7. Liability
Hubber provides the platform and the escrow and delivery arrangements around it. Goods are
supplied by suppliers, and delivery is performed by courier partners. We are not liable for
the quality, safety, or legality of goods, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing
here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or portal, and the
date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Hubber after a change means you
accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
